There were several Republicans that wanted to win the 2008 Presidential Election. It was essential for them to claim victory over the Democrats in that battle. They wanted to have the third consecutive term with a Republican President. They wanted to see the 44th President of the United States be a Republican candidate. And to many, John McCain was just the man for the job. There were times where things were a bit heated, but there weren’t astronomical numbers that depicted that there was too much violent anger that the Republicans had against the Democrats. Nevertheless, the Republicans still wanted to win the 2008 Presidential Election. And they were not by any chance, give up without a fight.

One of the reasons that the Republicans wanted to win the 2008 Presidential Election was because they were in agreeance with the ways and doings of the current George W. Bush White House Administration. The Republicans believed in the policies and strides that the Bush Administration were taking, and wanted to see to it that things would continue to go down that route. The Republicans were also quite impressed with the way that the Bush Administration had been handling taxes, and they did not want to loose out on their progress by loosing the 2008 Presidential Election.

Another reasons why the Republicans wanted to win the 2008 Presidential Election was because they did not agree with the new approach to the war that the other party was presenting. The 2008 Presidential Election sparked a great deal of debate about the war, so this became quite a significant issue. Republicans wanted to see to it that we were not pulling out of the Iraqi war too soon. Republicans wanted to make sure that we were fully protected and had our guard up against terrorists. They did not want the 2008 Presidential Election to change our approach to the war and have our military troops pull out too soon. That is the kind of dramatic change that the Republicans did not want to see.

Another reason why the Republicans wanted to gain the victory in the 2008 Presidential Election was because they were highly opposed to the currently presented approach to health care. In the 2008 Presidential Election, the candidates felt the need to present to the people how they were going to handle the medical insurance agency. The feeling was that there should not be a radical change to the health care industry. Many Republicans were quite content with the coverage that they were currently receiving. Some felt that there could be minor changes implicated in order to revamp the health care industry, but such large changes were not necessary or favored.
